Ralph O. Walton III

Ralph is a seasoned real estate entrepreneur with over 25+ years of brokerage, development and project management experience in the Mountain West. He launched four large scale, amenity-based private clubs and resort communities in Colorado and Montana in addition to working in professional services firms in New York and Paris. From 1993-2002, Walton was a minority owner of Crested Butte Mountain Resort, then Colorado’s eighth largest ski area. After serving as CFO for two years, all ski and hospitality operations were reorganized under his supervision; his team converted two owned hotels to Marriott & Sheraton franchises achieving national recognition for top-tier service excellence performance. In 2000, Walton was promoted to President of CBMR’s real estate subsidiary where he led the development activities of four major projects. Most notable was Prospect, a $135 million, 400-acre ski-in/out community.

Walton completed his undergraduate studies at Duke University and earned an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business and the Stockholm School of Economics. Walton holds supervisory broker licenses in Colorado, Montana and Idaho. He chairs the Finance Committee of Colorado Senior Residences, Inc., owner of the 144-unit Casey’s Pond Senior Living Community, and he serves as a member of the Advisory Board for Junior Achievement in Routt County. Walton is married to Martina, a Czech national, and they have two children, Veronica (23) and Brittain (20).
